Digistanbul
I thought i can as well blog in English again. Although it is much more convenient to do it in German, English is much more inclusive, and maybe it 'pays' in the long run.
So, today I feature the rest of the images taken in Istanbul.
this one sums up alot of things: deep religiosity in some parts of the city, pidgeons as metaphor for the cities lively athmosphere, the flag on a shopping bag, the whole setting quite telling for the old parts.
on the ferries which have not been covered on the recent trip; did it 2 years earlier.
another quite telling shot - Modern Turkey
inside one of the waiting halls, Asian side
outsinde one of these
another worker
a shoeblack. With Gestaltpsychologie in mind i'd say he chose quite a good place to do busines.
business boy
manic girl
a passer by
a break; i certainly like the manual focus of the pen, the 100% crop of this shot is amazing
Back to Atasehir, i spotted the cart i jumped upon an hour later; you can find the image taken from out of the cart on my site in the "Streets of Istanbul" folder (img.nr.3)
the only person i met there who didn't drive a car
a supposedly highly original marketing action
one of the Gecekondu huts
and a nice garden i found
simply a nice structure
sweet nothings.
and a Granny on the phone
back into the city, the street photo classic
an elderly man advising a youngster
two dogs communicating
nice sculpture
and a shot thatworks very well for me although i cannot put my finger on it
inside the old train station
and the Aya Sofia (which didnt impress me as much as it should have)
a man inside the grand Bazaar - i love how he simply didnt take any notice of me
nice street art
nature reserve
ideally enjoyed with raki
concrete bags turned stones on Princess Islands
and a chef.
have a nice week
fr.
